Hai vinto la lotteria di Google?

Il nome di Google usato per lotterie/truffe su internet. Se é troppo bello per essere vero, probabilmente lo é (soprattutto su internet). Una email spam, che ho ricevuto oggi mi ha informato di aver vinto 500,000 euro ad una lotteria di Google. Di solito vengono usati nomi e brands di fiducia per dare un senso di affidabilitá al ricevente.

Visto che io stesso sono un fan di Google,la maggior parte delle volte, ho deciso di scrivere su questo. Quando lo “sfortunato” vincitore risponde ad una di queste emails gli viene richiesto di inviare (trasferimento bancario, preferibilmente) soldi per coprire le tasse e tariffe varie per ritirare il premio.

Frequentemente, il truffatore spedirá un assegno falso (uno di quelli da incassare in banca) alla vittima (il “vincente”). Alla fine l’assegno falso viene scoperto ed il vincitore della lotteria rimane con la busta vuota in mano. Tralasciando le conseguenze finanziarie, (secondo alcuni che leggono anche questo blog), incassare questo tipo di vincite potrebbe causare l’arresto.

Sfortunatamente, questi imbroglioni dietro queste e-truffe sono seduti comodamente lontano da noi in un’altro paese e raramente vengono arrestati. Ma noi che portiamo l’assegno in banca potremmo invece rimetterci. Occhio, quindi.
